EURO-CHINA Executive Club EC² Launched in Paris

On June 24 local time, the launch ceremony of the EURO-CHINA Executive Club (EC²) and the China–France Renewable Energy Cooperation Forum was successfully held in the central business district of La Défense, Paris. The event was co‑hosted by the NEOMA Business School Confucius Institute (NCIB) and the Europe China Business Center (ECBC), with support from the University of International Business and Economics Alumni Association in France, the Silk Road Business School, and the Association of Young Chinese Innovators in France. Distinguished guests attending included Yves Bamberger, former Senior Advisor to the President of Électricité de France (EDF); Frédéric Lajoux, Director at Enedis Marne; Zhou Changfu, Deputy General Manager of China Construction Bank (Europe) Paris Branch; Feng Liqun, Chairman of Fengtech; Victor Hu, Chairman of SolaNer Sunshine New Energy; and Richard Li, General Manager of Europe China Business Center. Nearly one hundred participants from the energy industry, research institutions, business circles, and investment sectors of both China and France joined the event.

The event focused on the theme of “Renewable Energy and Greenhouse Gas Reduction.” At the venue, Victor Bernard, Executive Director of the NEOMA Business School Confucius Institute, delivered a speech introducing the purpose and future vision of the EURO-CHINA Executive Club (EC²), stating that as a platform for exchanges among entrepreneurs from China, France, and the wider Europe, EC² is committed to fostering bilateral cooperation and mutual trust through high‑level dialogues, thematic seminars, and cultural exchanges.

During the event, Yves Bamberger delivered a speech on the evolving trends of energy systems and highlighted the vast potential for cooperation between China and France in the process of energy transition. Frédéric Lajoux moderated an interactive session featuring Chinese and French enterprises, during which Feng Liqun, Victor Hu, and the head of structured finance at China Construction Bank (Europe) Paris Branch each took the stage to introduce Fengtech, SolaNer, and the bank’s operations and related business information.

In addition, Richard Li introduced the Europe China Business Center's operations and business activities.

After the event, the attendees actively engaged in on‑site interactions and discussed topics such as France-China green industries, technological cooperation, and project implementation.
